Best Season Trekking around Langtang Valley
Langtang Valley Trekking seasons in the Spring-March/May and Autumn-October/December, the weather is generally stable and even the high passes may be free of snow and relatively easy to traverse at times. But beware, you are heading into the World’s highest mountain range and be prepared for changes of temperature and weather. And though this period is generally expected to be dry, as everywhere, rainfall and gloomy weather may occur making the mountains less visible. Not least, sudden snow may be experienced at high altitudes blocking the trail and bringing with it freezing temperatures.

The monsoon season roughly starts mid-May/June and runs to the end of August. During this period rainfall and muddy trails may be expected and the possibility to see mountains is less as compared to the main trekking seasons. Travelers who value greenery and quiet environments will love traveling during monsoon season. We recommend the Upper Mustang area in the monsoon season due to it being relatively shaded from rain during June-August.

Langtang Trek Difficulty
Langtang Valley Trek is an easy trek that leads you to 3830 m a maximum height at Kyanjin Gomba. The Langtang trek is not a difficult grade trek. The Langtang Valley Trek is much shorter than Everest Base Camp and the Annapurna Circuit Trek. You will reach an altitude of 5000 m, which will challenge many. Altitude sickness can be common. The route ascends quite quickly with several days having more than 1000 m of altitude gain. These days of ascent are tiring and also require the body to adjust quickly. This is a good beginner trek in Nepal but please don't take it lightly.
