15 days Everest Kalapatthar Trek is a classic trek through the Sherpa villages to Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar. The Everest Trek without climbing Kalapatthar is to miss an opportunity to see the top of the world,  Mount Everest. You are not standing on top of Everest but Mt.Everest is standing in front of you. The highlights of Everest Kalapatthar Trek is to climb Kalapatthar(5500m) with simple trekking gear, and observe the great view of Mount Everest, Khumbu glacier, sunrise or sunset view to the top of the Himalayas.  On this trek we have 2 acclimatize days in Namche bazaar and Dingboche before trekking to Everest  base camp and climbing Kalapatthar.

Kalapatthar is the best trekking peak in Everest. You can see Mount Everest undoubtedly from the top of Mt Kalapatthar. It is not easy at all to be on the top of Kalapatthar. Everest Kalapatthar trek allows you to share the experience of Everest expedition as they make their way to Everest Base Camp. Kalapatthar trek lies in the Sagarmatha national park ascends gradually through high valleys of the Himalayas to Everest base camp and Kala Patthar.

The 15 days Everest Base Camp Kalapatthar trek difficulty is strenuous, and it is not easily accessible. After getting flight to Lukla from Kathmandu, we trek to Everest Base camp and Kalapatthar staying in unheated plywood lodges on the way. But when you will eventually be at Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar, then you will forget everything. Everest Kalapatthar trek offers the great view of Mt Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and many other high mountains.

Everest is the home to the Sherpas. You will get warmth hospitality of Sherpas and their culture. The Sherpas has achieved their fame on mountaineering expedition. Everest Kalapatthar has an abundance of flora and fauna. Deer can be seen at lower elevation and Himalayan  goats are visible from the trail through Khumjung to Dingboche. Everest National Park is a world heritage site. It is also our heritage as well we encourage to keep the area in the condition we found it clean and pollution free. We have designed Everest kalapatthar trek to ensuring that all the group members acclimatize properly with the use of the rest days.

Day 01: Arrive to Kathmandu.
We will greet and receive you at Kathmandu Airport holding your Name and flight details on play card or paper and transfer you to the hotel. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Phakding (2610m, 4 hours) via Lukla.
Today we will take a wonderful flight to Lukla (2827m) in the morning near to the huge Himalayan adjacent to Nepal and China. After 40 minutes, we will land in a runway and our care taker will help us carry our belongings. Then we will walk down to the Dudh Koshi River, where we connect with the main path to Namche Bazaar. After moving all the way through the small area of Ghat (2550m), we will soon arrive at our tea house at Phakding.
Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazzar (3440m, 6 hours)
Trek to the fabled Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar.
Day 04: Rest day in Namche Bazzar.
Day trek and return to Namche for a second night, for altitude acclimatization.
Day 05: Trek to Tengboche
Head to Tengboche Monastery, in view of Everest. Meet the Rinpoche, the reincarnate Lama.
Day 06: Trek to Dingboche.
Ascend higher, to Dingboche.
Day 07: Rest day in Dingboche.
Climb the "hill" behind town for acclimatization and then down the other side to Pheriche.
Day 08: Trek to Lobuche
Climb north towards the Khumbu glacier's terminal moraine and the high village of Lobuje.
Day 09: Trek to Kala Patthar.
Cross the moraine and carry on to Gorakshep, a seasonal collection of teahouses at the foot of Kala Pattar. Climb Kala Pattar for best views of Everest, then return to Lobuche.
Day 10: Trek down to Pangboche.
Trek south to Pangboche, home of the revered "Yeti scalp".
Day 11: Trek down to Khumjung Village (3780 m, 6 hours).
We will depart from Pangboche and trek down to Khumjung Village or Namche bazaar taking 6 hours. Overnight at Tea House.
Day 12: Trek down to Monjo (2835m, 5 hours).
We will trek down to Monjo taking around 5 hours departing from Khumjung Village. Overnight at Tea House.
Day 13: Trek to Lukla(2840m, 5 hours).
We will reach Lukla in 5 hours leaving Monjo. Reaching Lukla becomes a surprise for the majority of the trekkers. We arrive at the airport in the early afternoon. Lukla is famous for celebrating the end of the trek. Overnight at Tea House.
Day 14: Lukla to Kathmandu.
We will wake up early in the morning and get ready for the entrance of our plane for returning back to Kathmandu. Then, we will transfer back to our hotel. Remaining day to explore in Kathmandu.
Day 15: Transfer to Kathmandu Airport.
Today is the final day of the tour in Nepal. We will take you to the airport for the last departure.

Note: If scheduled flight gets cancelled due to bad weather from Lukla to Kathmandu on return. In such situation, we need to send chartered helicopter which costs US $ 500 per person. Helicopter cost has to be borne by the clients to get outbound flight on scheduled time.

Trek Gear List: No need to bring unnecessary trekking equipments with you for trekking in Nepal. The following trekking equipments and gears are recommended before trekking in Nepal. Most of the trekking equipment what you will need can be rented or purchased  in Nepal either in Kathmandu or Pokhara at cheap price. We will help you with the necessary arrangements. Except your day pack all the luggage will be carried by porters. There is an allowance of 15kg per person. Additional personal items not needed for the trekking part of the trip can be stored in the storage room of hotel without extra cost.
