Free Walking Tour Kathmandu is a full day tour of 4-5 hours. It covers local Hindu shrines, Newari residential areas, Buddhists stupas, monasteries, bustling local markets, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Monkey Temple.
Kathmandu Free Walking Tour starts at 9:00 AM in the morning and 2:00 PM in the afternoon from Mission Eco Trek Office, Thamel. Kathmandu Free Walking Tour is not a paid tour but of course, a tip based tour. If you are happy with the tour and guide, you could tip at the end of trip.
How much does this tour cost?
Kathmandu Free tours don’t have a fixed price. At the end, each person contributes to the guide the amount they consider fair based on their satisfaction. As a guideline, we recommends between €15 and $50 per participants.
Kathmandu Durbar Square Entrance Fee: Rs 1000 per person
Swayambhunath Entrance Fee: Rs 200 per person
We will use a taxi for the journey from Kathmandu Durbar Square to Swayambhunath with an approximate cost of Rs 500.
