The Langtang Gosaikunda Trek begins in Kathmandu with a day bus drive to Syabrubesi, hike through the Langtang valley, Kyanjin Gompa, and the Laurebina pass, you will reach Gosaikunda lake. Trekking along the Langtang Gosaikunda trail, you will witness beautiful Tamang villages and amazing natural sceneries including forests, rivers, waterfalls, streams, Himalayas, and several lakes including Gosaikunda lake itself.

01: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi
Morning around 7:00 am drive to
Syabrubeshi(1460m) takes 6/7 hours with viewing beauty nature scenic. Overnight at Guest House.

02: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel
Trek to Syabrubenshi to Lama Hotel(2340m) takes 5/6 hours.
Overnight at Guest House.

03: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3430m.)
Having lunch at Lama Hotel, we trek to
Langtang village (3430m.) via Ghore Tabela (3000m.) which takes about six
hours. We would find some grazing grounds of Yak on the way. The local people
bring their livestock for grazing in the high pastures during the summer
months. We find a monastery before we reach Langtang Village. We pay our short
visit to the monastery and arrive at our destination.

04: Langtang Village to Kyangjin Gompa(3870m.)
It is our turn to trek from Langtang
Village to Kyangjin (3870m.). It takes about three hours to reach there. Our
trail climbs gradually through small villages and yak pastures as the valley
opens further and the views become more extensive. Kyangjin Gompa is reached
after crossing several small streams and moraines. We would visit the cheese
factory at Kyangjin Gompa. We would enjoy the panoramic view of Dorje Larpa
(6990m.), Langtang Ri (6370m.), Langtang Lirung (7245m.) and many more.

05: Kyangjin Gompa
We would acclimatize at Kyangjin Gompa
and go for excursion to utilize our time. We would visit the monastery and the
cheese factory, walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice falls and
tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin Ri (4350m).

06: Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2470m)
Trek from Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel.
From Kyangjin, we retrace our route following the Langtang Khola to Langtang
village and on to Ghora Tabela. Having lunch at Ghora Tabela, we trek steep
descent to Lama Hotel.

07: Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2260m.)
We trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru
(2260m.). The beginning of the trek is gently descending till Pairo and then
goes steep up to Thulo Syabru. En route, one could see red pandas, monkey and
various species of birds.
Day
08: Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa (3330m.)
It is our turn to trek from Thulo Syabru
to Sing Gompa (3330m.). Our trail from Thulo Syabru goes to Foprang Danda
(3200m.) passing through Dursagang (2660m.). We would be lucky enough to view
Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, Tibetan Mountain and forests of Oak, Hemlock and
Firs. After a while, we reach Sing Gompa. We would find a well-managed local
cheese factory and a Buddhist Monastery at Sing Gompa too.

09: Sing Gompa to Gosaikunda (4460m)
Today we trek from Sing Gompa to
Gosaikunda (4460m) via Lauribinayak La (3920m.). We would follow a rugged trail
with dramatic views of Himal Chuli (7893m.,) Manaslu (8156m,) and Ganesh Himal
(7406m). On a clear day, even the Annapurna range can be seen rising up gently
behind. To the north, we would see Langtang Lirung. At Gosainkunda, we would
see a dozen of lakes. Among them, the major three are Saraswatikund, Bharab
Kunda and Gosainkunda. According to a legend, Gosainkunda was created by Shiva
when he pierced a glacier with his trident to obtain water to quench his thirst
after having swallowed poison.

10: Gosainkunda to Dhunce(1950m)
We trek from Gosainkunda to Sing
Gompa(3250m). Our trail descends all the way to Sing Gompa passing
Lauribanayak. We would have magnificent mountain views along the trail. We
would walk through the jungles while going to Singh Gompa.
Today we trek from Sing Gompa to Dhunche
which takes about six hours. The first part of the trail descends through pine,
silver oak and rhododendron forests with marijuana plants up to suspension
bridge over the Sing Gompa Stream. From this point, our path goes even through
some human settlements and reaches Dhunche, the headquarters of Rasuwa
district.

11: Dhunche to Kathmandu (2175m)
We drive back to Kathmandu from Dhunche.
It is interesting to penetrate into the rural settlements on the way back to
Kathmandu.

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is compulsory for Langtang Trek. Though this is an easy trek with low risk of AMS. However, this mountain journey is not a normal visit due to the possibility of unforeseen or unexpected events such as injury, illness, flood, landslide and sudden climate changes. All trekkers must provide a copy of their comprehensive travel insurance policy certificate. The policy must cover medical and emergency repatriation - including helicopter rescue and evacuation expenses at high altitudes. We kindly request you to send your detailed insurance policy copy before trekking departures. In case of emergencies, we will use the documents you sent us for rescue. It will help us arrange a quick and effective rescue operation, transfer for emergency medical help, etc. Please make sure with the insurance company that they cover helicopter evacuation at high altitude trek along with medical costs.
Passport and Visa
All foreigners except Indian nationals need a visa to enter Nepal. You can get an on-arrival visa at Tribhuvan International Airport or Nepal border regional offices. For a visa application, you need a passport valid for at least six months, a passport size photo, and visa application fees.The current visa cost for 30 days is US$50 which you have to pay in USD cash. Children under the age of 10 will get a free visa. Chinese citizens and citizens of SAARC countries:Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka get a free visa.The citizen of Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, and Afghanistan will not get visa on arrival in Nepal.
Tipping in Nepal
Nepali culture accepts tipping and views it as proof of good service. However, tipping is at the traveler’s discretion and should reflect the quality of service provided.We advise you to tip at the end of the trek.

Money Matter
Nepali Rupees (NPR/Rs) is the local currency and 1 USD =Rs 120 NPR.You can exchange most foreign currencies in banks and other financial institutions or money exchanges in Kathmandu or Pokhara. Money exchanges display exchange rates visibly for the public.
Please note that only Indian Rupee Notes (INR) of 100 and 2000 denominations are legal in Nepal. We recommend you to bring cash and exchange them for Nepali Rupees at money exchanges instead of traveler's Cheque are not accepted now in Nepal.You can also withdraw cash in Nepalese Rupees using your credit/debit card from ATMs in Kathmandu or Pokhara. You can withdraw up to Rs. 35,000 for a fee of Rs 500. Most banks in Asia do not accept old, torn and faded foreign currency notes so bring clean new notes.
Expenses of Personal Nature
Our package does not include meals and accommodation costs in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Moreover, all our valuable clients need to bring personal spending money to cover visa fee, travel insurance policy purchase, beverages, snacks for the trek, hot (tea/coffee) and cold drinks, tips to guide and porter, souvenirs and so on. We recommend you to bring cash in major currencies which you can easily exchange for rupees in Nepal. Poon Hill Trek accept only Nepalese currency.
Water and Electricity
Electricity is available for camera and mobile battery recharge at an extra cost. You can buy either packed mineral water from local lodges and en route shop or fill your water bottle with boiled water at an extra cost. If you require, we can provide you with water purification pills. You shouldn't drink water from rivers, taps and wells in trek as the water might not be drinkable.
Solo Travelers-Single travellers should not have to pay more to travel so our group trips are designed for shared accommodation and do not involve a single supplement. Single travellers joining group trips are paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex for the duration of the trip. Some of our Independent trips are designed differently and single travellers on these itineraries must pay the single trip price.
Minimum Age-You must be 18 to travel unaccompanied on a our tour. For minors travelling with a guardian over 21 years old, the minimum age is 12.
