Royal Trek with guide
The Royal Trek with guide is much easier, more secure and enjoyable. The trail is well marked and some trail is not clear which way to go. Guides aren’t expensive in Nepal that US$ 30 a day. They provide you with some company and their expertise will help you know more about the trek. Moreover, if something happen, you will have someone to help you.
Accommodation and food on the trek
Most of the guest houses, hotels and tea houses in this area are very basic and provide minimum comfort. The bathrooms are communal with no toilet paper and in some of the hotels hot water is limited. Restaurants and hotels serve mostly vegetarian meals, the most popular dish is Dal Bhat (steamed rice and lentil soup that is generally served with vegetables), but you can also find dishes with chicken.
Royal Trek Permit
All trekkers in Nepal must acquire the Trekkers’ Information Management Systems (TIMS) Card. The TIMS Card is mandatory to ensure the safety and security of trekkers. In addition to the TIMS Card, you also need ACAP permit for Sikles Trek. A copy of your passport and two passport-size photographs are required to obtain TIMS Card and ACAP permit. It costs USD 50 for both entry permits.
Private and Group Trek
We organize group and private trip to Annapurna Royal Trek.The bigger your group, the more discount you can get. We handle all group sizes and assign one assistant guide for a group of 12 or more trekkers. Each group will lead by a guide and porters. We assign one porter for every two trekkers. The luggage weight limit is 9 kg per trekker. Hence, a porter will not carry more than 18 kg of combined weight.
Communication on Royal Trek
During the Annapurna Royal Trek, you can use the internet at lodges/tea houses for an extra cost. However, we will communicate using your phone. Depending on the kind of network you use, you might get signals at trekking region, but they might not be strong enough. If you wish, you can buy a local sim card in Kathmandu
Annapurna Royal Trek Difficulty and Preparation
Annapurna Royal Trek is an easy grade trek. You need to walk generally 4 to 5 hrs a day, taking regular breaks enjoying stunning mountain views. The trail ascend and descend fairly. So you need to have an average physical fitness and strong determination. Some days may require longer waking hours. Participants with pre-existing medical conditions such as heart, lung, and blood disease should inform us before booking the trek.
Last Minute Booking Trip
For those unable to book a trip in advance, We do accept a last-minute booking. To take advantage of this facility, you need to pay 100% of trip cost 24 hours before trip departures. We do our best to operate a trek at any time, but in case of last-minute booking, we can not be responsible for delays due to circumstances beyond our control such as bad weather or the unavailability of lodging.
Royal Trek Begins and Ends in Pokhara
The distance from Kathmandu to Pokhara is just 210 Km (130 miles), so the bus travel time is around 6 to 7 hours. The hilly road from Kathmandu to Pokhara is quite dangerous with many curves and old trucks overtaking buses and cars at high altitude. On the top of it, the buses are old and can break down at any time and make your travel time even longer. If you can, you should definitely take a 25 minutes flight. Even though it’s more expensive than bus journeys, you will be safer and save your precious time.
Season for Royal Trek
Spring, Autumn and Winter are best season to go for Panchase Trek. March/April and October/November are peak hiking season due to best weather conditions. The trekking routes gets very busy.
Insurance for Royal Trek
Travel insurance is highly recommended for Panchase Trek. There is also a risk on the trails for rock falls, avalanches and other mishaps. When selecting a travel insurance policy please bear in mind that all clients must have medical coverage of USD 200,000 for repatriation and emergency rescue. We strongly recommend that the policy also covers personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects.
