The third most popular trekking in Nepal, Langtang Trek known as Langtang Circuit Trek is a beautiful trek to Langtang valley, Gosaikunda Lake and Helambu valley. Trekking to Langtang is less crowded than trekking in Everest and Annapurna region. Nepal Langtang trek is comparatively cheaper than Everest and Annapurna trekking. An easy trekking is perfect for beginners wish trekking in the Himalayas.

15 days Langtang Trek starts from Syabrubesi after a long drive from Kathmandu. Langtang Valley will be a great trek to get you close up to the mountains in few days. The Langtang trekking is definitely for you if you want to walk, indulged in nature. This is pretty much the wilderness trekking, not on the roads where vehicles run like in the Annapurna Circuit. The Langtang trekking is the best alternative trek to Annapurna and Everest trekking. The longer route trekking of Langtang valley walking SyabruBesi to Sundarijal through Gosaikunda and Chisapani. Climb Kyanjin Ri from Kyanjin Gompa for the view of sunrise from between the mountains. It is also possible to add Helambu/Gosaikunda trek to your Langtang Valley Trek which will take 5-6 days more.

The Langtang valley is basically inhabited by the Tamang tribe. They are very friendly and hospitable. They will treat you well and you will get to know them a bit better. You can visit Buddhist monasteries that fall on the trail. If you love the yak cheese, you should go for Langtang valley trek. There is a yak cheese factory in Kyanjin Gompa. Take some back home as a souvenir if don't finish it on your way back home.

A medium to good fitness level is necessary for Langtang valley trek. It has nice, quite Tibetan cultured area compared to Annapurna and Everest trek. There is simple tea houses along the trek in a very beautiful setting everywhere. The Gosaikunda lakes are a very special treat and worth the effort to get there. If you still cannot make up your mind, why not actually trying the Langtang valley trek and finding it out on your own. Probably then you would want to tell us if it is worthy.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu
Arrival at Tribhuban International Airport and you will be received by Mission Eco Trek Representative. Transfer to the Hotel. Short briefing about trek and preparation for trek.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi
Drive to Syabru Bensi (1450m ) takes 6/7 hours with an incredible view of villages ,terrace rice fields and panoramic views of Langtang and Ganesh Himal. Overnight at GuestHouse.
Day 03: Trek to Lama Hotel (2480m)
It normally takes 5/6 hours to Lama Hotel. The trail goes all the way steepy uphill to Lama Hotel except some Nepali flat.
Day 04: Trek to Langtang Village (3500m)
The part of the trek goes steep up hill to Ghoda Tabela, it comes flat for while, and the last part of the trek is less steep than the first part.
The scenery is really fantastic after Ghoda Tabela. It is 5/6 hours walk.
Day 05: Trek to Kyangjin Gompa (3850m)
The trek is 3/4 hours gentle walk. Sweet sound music of Langtag river, make you dance on the open sloppy dance floor, the massif Langtang Lierung peering you with good smile. It is the paradise for trekkers.
Day 06: Rest for acclimatization.
Explore the surrounding of Kyanjing Gompa like hiking to Langtang glacier and climbing to Kyanji Ri or Tsergo Ri.
Day 07: Trek down to Lama Hotel
You will trek down on the same route Lama hotel from Kyanji Gompa that takes 6 hrs down hill trek to reach there. 
Day 08: Trek to Thulo Shyabru(2720m)
First part descend and last part steeply ascend all the way upto Thulo Shyabru. So the trail takes to reach Thulo Shyabru within 5 to 6 hours approx. 
Day 09: Trek to Sing Gompa (3350m)
You will trek 6 hours on the way steep uphill through pine and rhododendron forest.
Day 10: Trek to Gosainkunda (4385m)
You will trek 6 to 7 hours on the steep uphill way to Gosaikunda, one of the holiest pilgrimage site of Hindus.
Day 11: Trek to Gopte(3430m)
You will have trek 6 to 7 hours approx. which is a bit hard day on this trek. Lauribinayak pass(4610m),the highest point of this trek.
Day 12: Trek to Kutumsang(2470)
You will have trek uphill and downhill that takes 6 to 7 hours walk on this day.
Day 13:Trek to Chisapani(2215m).
You will trek 6 to 7 hours on the steep down, some Nepali flat , and little bit a steep uphill to reach Chisapani.
Day 14: Trek down to Sundarijal (1460m)
The way of trail is a steepy down hill to Sundarijal, takes 4½ hours. Drive back to kathmandu within 45min or 1 hours drive. Overnight at Kathmandu hotel.
Day 15: Kathmandu Airport
If  your visa permit is not expiry you can stay as longer as your time permits. Or Final departure from Kathmandu airport.

We would recommend to pack pretty light and managed to wash most of your clothes each afternoon/night for the first half of the trip. In the latter stages of the trip, it is pretty cold. There is no real need for multiple outfits.This is just a guide and it work quite well. sleeping bag is necessary as there are blankets in each guesthouse.

Travel Insurance 
Travel insurance is compulsory for Langtang Trek. Though this is an easy trek with low risk of AMS. However, this mountain journey is not a normal visit due to the possibility of unforeseen or unexpected events such as injury, illness, flood, landslide and sudden climate changes. All trekkers must provide a copy of their comprehensive travel insurance policy certificate. The policy must cover medical and emergency repatriation - including helicopter rescue and evacuation expenses at high altitudes. We kindly request you to send your detailed insurance policy copy before trekking departures. In case of emergencies, we will use the documents you sent us for rescue. It will help us arrange a quick and effective rescue operation, transfer for emergency medical help, etc. Please make sure with the insurance company that they cover helicopter evacuation at high altitude trek along with medical costs. 

Passport and Visa
All foreigners except Indian nationals need a visa to enter Nepal. You can get an on-arrival visa at Tribhuvan International Airport or Nepal border regional offices. For a visa application, you need a passport valid for at least six months, a passport size photo, and visa application fees.The current visa cost for 30 days is US$50 which you have to pay in USD cash. Children under the age of 10 will get a free visa. Chinese citizens and citizens of SAARC countries:Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka get a free visa.The citizen of Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, and Afghanistan will not get visa on arrival in Nepal.

Tipping in Nepal
Nepali culture accepts tipping and views it as proof of good service. However, tipping is at the traveler’s discretion and should reflect the quality of service provided.We advise you to tip at the end of the trek.

Money Matter
Nepali Rupees (NPR/Rs) is the local currency and 1 USD =Rs 120 NPR.You can exchange most foreign currencies in banks and other financial institutions or money exchanges in Kathmandu or Pokhara. Money exchanges display exchange rates visibly for the public.

Please note that only Indian Rupee Notes (INR) of 100 and 2000 denominations are legal in Nepal. We recommend you to bring cash and exchange them for Nepali Rupees at money exchanges instead of traveler's Cheque are not accepted now in Nepal.You can also withdraw cash in Nepalese Rupees using your credit/debit card from ATMs in Kathmandu or Pokhara. You can withdraw up to Rs. 35,000 for a fee of Rs 500. Most banks in Asia do not accept old, torn and faded foreign currency notes so bring clean new notes.

Expenses of Personal Nature
Our package does not include meals and accommodation costs in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Moreover, all our valuable clients need to bring personal spending money to cover visa fee, travel insurance policy purchase, beverages, snacks for the trek, hot (tea/coffee) and cold drinks, tips to guide and porter, souvenirs and so on. We recommend you to bring cash in major currencies which you can easily exchange for rupees in Nepal. Poon Hill Trek accept only Nepalese currency.

Water and Electricity
Electricity is available for camera and mobile battery recharge at an extra cost. You can buy either packed mineral water from local lodges and en route shop or fill your water bottle with boiled water at an extra cost. If you require, we can provide you with water purification pills. You shouldn't drink water from rivers, taps and wells in trek as the water might not be drinkable.

Solo Travelers-Single travellers should not have to pay more to travel so our group trips are designed for shared accommodation and do not involve a single supplement. Single travellers joining group trips are paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex for the duration of the trip. Some of our Independent trips are designed differently and single travellers on these itineraries must pay the single trip price.

Minimum Age-You must be 18 to travel unaccompanied on a our tour. For minors travelling with a guardian over 21 years old, the minimum age is 12.
