Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1300m)

Our representative will pick you up at the Tribhuvan International Airport and guide you to your hotel room. In the evening, you will be having a typical Nepali dinner with a brief about the tour. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu City Tour.

We will visit the famous Hindu Temple of the Kathmandu Valley today. After breakfast, we will first get to Pashupatinath, Gujeshwori temple and then Jal Narayana with lunch in between. Overnight at Hotel

Day 03: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi(1100m, 6 hours drive)

Today after breakfast we will drive to Syabrubesi via Trishuli Nuwakot. Overnight at Hotel

Day 04: Syabrubesi to Kerung(3800m, 3 hours drive)

After breakfast, we will get on a Tourist Bus and start our drive through the black-topped road to get to the newly opened friendship bridge at the Nepal-Tibet border. We will arrive at the 1st village of Tibet, Kerung in about 2 hours. Overnight at Guesthouse

Day 05: Kerung to Saga (4640m, 6 hours)

Climbs up and down the passes of Thong La and La Lung before getting us comfortably to the village of Saga. Along the way, we will be able to see Lake Peikutso and the typical yak and sheep grazing technique of the Tibetan people. Overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 06: Saga to Lake Mansarovar(4550m, 300km, 7 hours)

After an early breakfast, drive to holy lake Mansarovar at an altitude of 4558 meters with greenish-blue color. It is believed that the lake was once a resting place of Lord Vishnu. It is surrounded by Mt. Kailash, Mt. Gurula-Mandala and the Lake Rakshas. Overnight at Guesthouse

Day 07: Manasarovar Lake to Darchen(4800m, 60, 2 hours)

Today, we will get into the color of religion and explore the holy lake of Mansarovar. We will perform some rituals and then, get going to the village of Darchen. Along the way, we will be able to take a peek at the holy Mt. Kailash. Darchen was previously known as Lahara. The village is situated right in front of the sacred Mt. Kailash. Overnight at Hotel

Day 08: Kailash Kora. Drive from Darchen to Yamadwar and trek to Derapuk(4900m, 16 km, 6 hours).

Yamadwar, the gateway of the god of death, is located in Tarboche. From here, we will walk a few hours to arrive at the village of Dirapuk situated in front of the north face of Mt. Kailash. Today, we will be able to see the beautiful views of the Gurla-Mandala, Ape, Kamet and other high peaks. Overnight at Dirapuk.

Day 09: Kailash Kora. Trek to Zuthulpuk via Drolma La Pass(4760m, 26 km, 9 hours)

Today is the longest and hardest day of Kailash Kora. We walk for 9 hours covering 22 km, crossing Drolma La over 5600m via Shiva-tsal and Gauri Kunda to Zuthulphuk. Along the way, we will be able to view the Buddha’s footprints. Overnight at Zuthulphuk.

Day 10: Kailash Kora. Drive back to Saga(4400m, 400km, 8 hours)

During the morning, we will be exploring the caves and temples around the Milarepa cave. After breakfast, we will hike some 3-4 hours to complete our Kora and get back to the village of Darchen. We will have lunch there, and drive back to the village of Saga. Overnight at the teahouse.

Day 11: Drive back to Kerung(3800m, 6 hours drive)

We will drive back to the village of Kerung on a comfortable ride. We will have some free time as we descend on a paved path. We will spend the rest of the time relaxing. Overnight at teahouse

Day 12: Drive back to Kathmandu.

Today, we will cross the Nepal-Tibet border and get back to the capital city of Kathmandu. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13: Kathmandu-TIA airport transfer.

Mount Kailash

Kailash Parbat is the purest religious place. Mt Kailash, the origin of the world before inventing Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism. The holy Himalaya Mount Kailash is 6714 m high. Kailash Himalaya is mention in the holy books-Ramayana and Mahabharata. According to an ancient Asian stories, the civilization is incomplete without description of Kailash Parbat.

Kailash Mountain is in Tibet. Kailash Parbat is extended from Brahmaputra in the east to Karakoram in the west. Shaiva, Hindu, Buddhist, Jain and Bon-Po respect Kailash equally, though explained it differently.

It is said, if you trek around Kailash Himalaya, you will be free from all sins made in a life time. If you trek round Mt Kailash for 108 times, you will directly get Nirvana. It is also said that a person who moves Nandi mountain once, he/she gets return as equal of moving round Kailash for 13 times.

Kailash Himalaya is regarded as the form of Lord Shiva and the water flowing from its snowy top is worshipped as a holy river Ganges. Mount Kailash can see beautifully from Derapuk monastery. Observing from Derapuk, Mount Kailash is seen in between Mount Manjushree at right side and Mount Bajrapani at left side.

River Ganges, origin from Mount Kailash meets Lachhu River and gets mixed into Rakshas Tal. Every river formed from Kailash mountain mixes into Rakshas Lake. The river form from the junction of Rakshas Lake is called Karnali. Water from Rakshas Lake escapes via Karnali River but water of Manasarovar is stored in the form of Lake

Since, then, people’s negative attitude towards Rakshas lake changed and they started to go nearer to the lake but still, people don’t drink water of Rakshas Tal. Once upon a time, the monster Ravan has made Lord Shiva happy meditating in the Lake. Rakshas Lake lies in the west to Manasarovar Lake. It is situated at an altitude of 4,540 m. Manasarovar Lake has many birds such as ducks but in Rakshas Lake no birds at all.

Gauri Kunde

Gauri Kunde known as Parvati Kunde is for purify and compassion, it purifies mind, body and speech of Kailash Yatri. Gauri Kunde is for a holy bath to Goddess Parvati Mata where Gauri Mata had acquired her beloved son Ganesh, she had molded a picture of her son Ganesh from cleaning agent frothing on her body and resuscitates it.

She placed Ganesh at the path to stop unknown to enter during her holy deep, at the same time Lord Shiva came to his residence Mt Kailash but Ganesh jee didn’t recognize then Lord Shiva became furious and cuts off the kids head then Mata Parvati despairing stricken by seeing it and requested to Lord Shiva that child need to be brought again to the life restored so Parvati had her son back. Importance of Gauri Kunde

The large number of people of  Kailash Yatra visit holy Gauri Kunde while doing Kailash Trek to purify their mind, body and speech by splashing water on their heads. They offer TARPANA and Jala (holy water) to their ancestors to have peace in the heaven. Many of them bring holy water from the Kunde to their home.

This trek will be extremely difficult for those who are not physically fit to walk in difficult terrain and uneven ground. The outer kora takes around three days to complete. At the same time, Inner kora is more difficult and strenuous than Outer Kora due to the long itinerary days and long days of walking involved.
