Difficulty of Poon Hill Trek 3 days
Consider an easy trek, it is a trek for family with kids, beginners and seniors too. The total trek distance is around 22 kilometers/13.67 miles. You need to walk around 5 to 6 hours a day on fairly relaxed terrain. The 3,210m, Poon Hill is the highest point of the trek and the Ghorepani(2800m), the highest elevation where you spend a night there.The risk of altitude sickness is very low. Although, the trek is not physically demanding, a good physical fitness is helpful to enjoy the trip.

The teahouse accommodation on the trip is simply the best-neat and clean room. The rooms contains double beds with comfortable and light pillows, mattresses, and bed sheets. Some teahouses may also have the facilities of attached bathrooms.

How is a typical day in 3 days Poon Hill Trek?
The typical day begins with breakfast. Breakfast serve from 7 am to 8 am and trek for 3-4 hours after breakfast. After that and we stop for lunch at around 12 noon to 1:00 pm. After lunch, we further trek to for 2 to 3 hours. Once you reach to the camp, check in room and take rest and change clothing. Dinner serve at around 7-8 pm. On dinner time, you will talk about Nepali culture, the next day program of the trekking. The breakfast and dinner, we will serve you the same teahouse where to stay and lunch will serve in different teahouse restaurant on the trail.

Document Paper for Poon Hill Trek
All trekkers in Nepal must acquire the Trekkers’ Information Management Systems (TIMS) Card. The TIMS Card is mandatory to ensure the safety and security of trekkers in the general trekking areas. In addition to the TIMS Card, you also need a to get a ACAP permit to do the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek. A copy of your passport and two passport-size photographs are required to obtain a TIMS Card and ACAP permit.
Private and Group Trek
We organize group and private trek to Ghorepani Poon Hill. The bigger your group, the more discount you can get. We handle all group sizes and assign one assistant guide for a group of 12 or more trekkers. Each group will lead by a guide and porters. We assign one porter for every two trekkers. The luggage weight limit is 9 kg per trekker. Hence, a porter will not carry more than 18 kg of combined weight.
How is Wifi and Mobile Signal on 3 days Poon Hill Trek
During the Poon Hill Trek, you can use the internet at lodges/tea houses for an extra cost. However, at high altitudes, we will communicate using the phone. Depending on the kind of network you use, you might get signals at trekking regions, but they might not be strong enough. If you wish, you can buy a local sim card in Kathmandu
Preparation for Poon Hill Trek
Poonhill is an easy grade trek. You need to walk generally 4 to 5 hrs a day, taking regular breaks enjoying stunning mountain views. Ghorepani trek trail ascend and descend fairly. So you need to have an average physical fitness and strong determination. Some days may require longer waking hours. Participants with pre-existing medical conditions such as heart, lung, and blood disease should inform us before booking the trek.
Last Minute Trek Booking
For those unable to book a trip in advance, We do accept last-minute booking. To take advantage of this facility, you need to pay 100% of the trip cost 24 hours before the trip departures. We do our best to operate a trek at any time, but in case of last-minute booking, we are not responsible for delays due to circumstances beyond our control such as bad weather or the unavailability of lodging.
Kathmandu to Pokhara Travel by bus
The distance from Kathmandu to Pokhara is just 210 Km (130 mi), so the bus travel time is around 6 to 7 hours. The hilly road from Kathmandu to Pokhara is quite dangerous with many curves and old trucks overtaking buses and cars at high altitude. On the top of it, the buses are old and can break down at any time and make your travel time even longer. If you can, you should definitely take a 45 min flight. Even though it’s more expensive than the bus, you will be safer and save your precious time.
