Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the most popular treks in the Annapurna region. We trek through rice paddies, lush rhododendron forests and high altitude landscapes with the Mt Annapurna range looming in front of you most of the times. The Annapurna Base Camp trek is also known as the Annapurna Sanctuary trek because we trek along the protected areas trail. Annapurna Base Camp is a shorter and cheaper alternative to the Everest Base Camp trek.

The Annapurna Base Camp is surrounded by some of the highest peaks in the world like Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), the fishtail Machapuchhre (6993 m), and Hiunchuli (6441 m). There are different trek route to Annapurna Base Camp and the duration is between 6 and 12 days. Also, possible to combine Annapurna base camp trek with Poon Hill, Mardi Himal, Khopra danda, Mohare danda and Annapurna Circuit.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek Cost
The cost of your trek to Annapurna Base Camp will be determined by the type of trek you are planning, your trekking route, time on the trail, and by the season you choose to trek. Trekking permits for Annapurna Base Camp
Two permits-TIMS (Trekkers Information Management System) and ACAP-a Entry Permit for the Annapurna Conservation Area are required for ABC trek. The permits are checked along the way.We handle and organize your trekking permit once you book the trip with us.The permit is only valid for a single entry into the park.

Day 1:  Pokhara to Jhinu and Trek to Sinuwa(2370 m, 19 km, 6/7 hours).
Breakfast and drive to Jhinu, enjoying the green rolling hills and sparkling silver mountain range. You will walk through the thin forest, terraced farmland and villages to Sinuwa via Chhomrong. Overnight, stay at Sinuwa.
Day 2: Sinuwa  to Deurali (3220 m, 15 km, 6-8 hours).
Breakfast and trek for 6 to 8 hours on downhill and almost uphill trail to Deurali via Bamboo, Dovan and Himalaya.
Day 3: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp(4130 m,12 km, 5-6 hour)
Breakfast and trek for 5 to 6 hours to  Annapurna Base Camp, final destination of 5 days ABC Trek in Nepal. Enjoy the 360 degree views of the Himalayas from ABC, and also the Annapurna glaciers.
Day 4: ABC-Bamboo(2630 m,24 km, 7-8 hour)
Wake up early in the morning and enjoy the Sunrise view over the Annapurna one, take photographs with mountain in different pose and trek down to Bamboo. 
Day 5: Bamboo to Pokhara(900 m, 7 to 9 hours)
Breakfast and trek to Jhinu Hot Spring, lunch there and after lunch drive back to Pokhara. The trip ends here.

Accommodation on the Annapurna Base Camp Trek
This is a classic tea house trek, accommodation in the tea houses.Rooms with 2 beds and dorm room with 3 to 6 beds. The toilet and bathroom is common. Hot shower and internet available, you need to pay an extra cost.
Food on the ABC trek
The food on the Annapurna Base Camp Trek is similar to other treks in Nepal. The menu is very similar everywhere like porridge, boiled eggs,breads, Chapati or an omelet for breakfast and dal, pasta or fried rice, potato, noodle, soup, pizza for lunch or dinner.

When To Trek Annapurna Base Camp
The best time to trek the Annapurna Base Camp is during the shoulder seasons of either April - May (Spring) or October - November (Autumn) which are considered to be pre-monsoon and before winter respectively. The weather is mildly hot during the day while hiking and cold at night depending on the altitude. There is also less chance of rain during this time and you will like to get clear days consecutively which is perfect for hiking.
