Know before Nagarkot Chisapani Trek Nepal
Kathmandu is a good short breaks trek. You need to maintain a good level of independence and freedom. You’ll have lots of free time. The trip will operate on a group join-in basis. It means that you could have your adventure all to yourself, or others may join you along the way. The excellent fitness is necessary for trekking around Kathmandu valley. You need to walk 5 to 6 hours everyday which is nearly 15 to 18 km.
Kathmandu Trek is possible all around the year. While June-August is monsoon, weather conditions are unpredictable. The rain and fog make views cloudy and the ground muddy.
Duffel bag, no need for Kathmandu trek. Just carry small rucksack, keeping light trekking gear. We are also happy to provide a porter, and your porter can carry up to 8kg per traveler. Other luggage, you can leave in Kathmandu.
Kathmandu Trek starts and finishes in Kathmandu. Please meet at our Kathmandu office the day prior to the tour start for a pre-departure meeting. The inside out Kathmandu trek is a join in trip rather than a schedule group trip. Hence, if the other travelers have booked on the same dates you will share includes activities.
Also, if you have booked on this trip by yourself without other travel companions, then you will get a single room on trip.
Please be aware that in the event of an emergency evacuation, we do not have control over which helicopter service may be used. Some helicopters are not in regular use with us.
Documents for Chisapani Nagarkot Trek
You’ll need a valid passport, a minimum of 6 months validity, so remember to check the expiry date.
Please, carry a copy of the photo page of your passport while travelling and leaving a copy at home with family or friends.
All foreign nationals (except Indian passport holders) require a visa to enter Nepal. Visas are obtainable from embassies abroad, land borders (including India and Tibet), and on arrival at Kathmandu-TIA airport.
Getting a visa at the airport or land borders can sometimes take time due to long queues. There have been instances when travelers are asked to show proof of exit from the country, ie flight tickets. You may also need to provide two passport photos and the following fees in US dollars (subject to change, cash only). Your visa application form may require you to state the dates on which you enter and exit the country.

The low altitude trek does not have any fear of AMS-altitude mountain sickness. The tour is quite tough as you need to walk 5 to 6 hours everyday. Similarly, the beginners to seniors and family with kids comfortably enjoy the trek. Overall, we take it as an easy to moderate difficulty level trek in Nepal.
Best Seasons for Chisapani Nagarkot Trek
The trek is doable all round the year. However, the Autumn from September to December and the Spring from March to May are ideal seasons.
You will get stable weather and clear views of mountains in the Autumn season. It caters an opportunity to observe many festivals like Dashain and Tihar in Autumn.
Spring is the second best time for trekking around Kathmandu. The trail looks scenic and colorful with Rhododendron flowers. Moreover, Spring also have soothing and stable weather.
Besides, Monsoon trek is challenging due to the rainfalls and the trail is slippery. So, carry a waterproof jacket and rain covers. There are leeches on the trail. In winters, you may experience snowfall, but the views are so crystal clear. Hence, Autumn and Spring season are the best time for Kathmandu Valley trek.

The basic lodges and teahouses to luxury hotel accommodation you will find on the trek. Also, you will get Nepali to international cuisine like momo, chowmin, pizza, pasta, burger, and others in the hotels.
Permits for Nagarkot Trek from Chisapani
The trail goes through Shivapuri National Park. So, we need national park permit that cost USD 20. The TIMS card (Trekking Information Management System) is not necessary for this trek.
Chisapani Nagarkot Trek-Group Size
The group size will be 1 to 20 people in this trek. The group is form of children to seniors, male and female from different parts of the world. The age limit will be minimum 10 to 80 years old.

The trip cost ranges from USD 190 to USD 290 per person, it depends on the group size and the mode of transfer either by public bus or private car or jeep. In the price, it includes meals, accommodation, transfer, permit and guide. The drinks are not included in the cost.
Tipping for Chisapani Nagarkot Trek
Tipping is customary your guide and driver. Tips are greatly appreciated as a gesture of thanks for their professionalism and leadership during your trip. The amount is entirely a personal preference; however, as a guideline, tip is from $10 USD-$15 USD per person per day are advisable.
Money Matter
USD is also widely accepted in Nepal. ATMs can only be found in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Bhaktapur. Make sure you carry sufficient cash in Nepal rupees to cover your needs when travelling outside Kathmandu. Credit cards are not widely accepted. The old, torn, and fade notes is very difficult to exchange at banks and money exchange. Please ensure that you have new and clean notes.
